Having promulgated on this day a Decree on the establishment after my death of the office of Curatrix of the IMPERIAL Throne of Russia in the person of my daughter, Her IMPERIAL Highness, Grand Duchess Maria Wladimirovna, I deemed it fitting that my daughter should immediately, after attending the Divine Liturgy today, swear upon the Holy Gospel an oath of loyalty to me with the pledge, furthermore, of observing the provisions concerning succession to the Throne and familial order of the Dynasty, as contained in the State Fundamental Laws of the Russian Empire.
