The Head of the Imperial House of Russia, H.I.H. the Grand Duchess Maria of Russia, and her son and heir, H.I.H. the Grand Duke George of Russia, who is currently in St. Petersburg, were filled with sorrow over the deaths of their countrymen as a result of the storm that struck Moscow and the Moscow Region on May 29, 2017. Their Imperial Highnesses pray for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives and for the quick and full recovery of those who were injured, and they extend their deepest condolences to the families and friends of all those who have perished.

May the Lord receive into His Heavenly Kingdom the servants of God Andrei, Valerii, Vitaly, Daria, Catherine, Ivan, Nicholas, Nina, Pavel, Stanislav, and all those whose bodies have not yet been identified and whose names are known only to God.
