I congratulate you on your election to the presidency of the Russian Federation.

You have assumed the leadership of the Russian State at a historical moment. Having first cast off atheistic and inhuman totalitarianism and then having withstood the inevitable shockwaves that followed after the collapse of the former social structure and way of life, the Russian State has found its faith again in its own destiny as a genuine great world power, having established itself on the path toward traditional values, the flourishing and wellbeing of its citizenry, the guaranteeing of rights and freedoms, the defense of its national interests, and an active role in international affairs.

May the Lord send down upon you wisdom, strength, and resolve to preserve, strengthen, and expand all the progress that has been achieved in the past several years through the enormous efforts of the people, and to overcome those difficulties and troubles that are still yet lie ahead.

My most August mother, Grand Duchess Leonida Georgievna, and my son and heir, Grand Duke Georgii Mikhailovich, join me in congratulating you and in sending you their heartfelt prayers for God’s help in your lofty and vital service to the Fatherland.
