Information announcement about exhibit, dedicated to the 390-th anniversary of the House of Romanov, the 300-th anniversary of the founding of St. Petersburg, and to the 300-th anniversary of the founding of the Artillery Museum in St. Petersburg
On behalf of the Head of the Russian Imperial House, H.I.H. Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna, the Chancellery of H.I.H. and the Knights’ Council of the Imperial Military Order of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker have lent artifacts to the Military-Historical Museum of Artillery, Military Engineers, and Military Communications, in St. Petersburg, for an exhibit entitled, “St. Petersburg. The Romanovs. Russia.” dedicated to the 390-th anniversary of the House of Romanov, the 300-th anniversary of the founding of St. Petersburg, and to the 300-th anniversary of the founding of the Artillery Museum.
At the opening of the exhibit on 23 May 2003, A. N. Zakatov, personal secretary for the Head of the Russian Imperial House and director of the Chancellery of H.I.H., was present and read a prepared text of greetings from the Grand Duchess to the people of St. Petersburg and to the participants in these celebrations dedicated to the 300-th anniversary of the founding of the Northern Capital, as well as the text of an official message to Colonel V. M. Krylov, director of the Military-Historical Museum of Artillery, Military Engineers, and Military Communications.
