I offer to You my heartfelt thanks for Your letter. I find Your work to help unfortunate children in the Motherland to be extremely important, and I am very glad about the new undertaking of the organizers of the “Russian Ball” in Brussels. I wish to inform you of my decision to accede to your request that the “Society for the Aid of Russian Children” be placed under our official patronage. I ask You to send to my Chancellery a copy of the founding charter of the Society and to keep the Chancellery regularly informed of the Society’s activities.
