Investiture and Award Ceremony in the Tchaikovsky Music Conservatory in Moscow, December 24, 2015
On December 24, 2015, the Mayakovsky Concert Hall of the Tchaikovsky State Music Conservatory in Moscow played host to a formal investiture ceremony marking the 70th anniversary of the Victory in World War II and the 150th anniversary of the Tchaikovsky Music Conservatory in Moscow.

The tradition of holding an investiture ceremony at the Tchaikovsky State Music Conservatory on or about the birthday of the Head of the Russian Imperial House, H.I.H. The Grand Duchess Maria of Russia (December 23, 1953), began in 2012. On behalf of the Head of the Russian Imperial House of Romanoff, H.I.H. The Grand Duchess Maria of Russia, the investiture ceremony recognizing her countrymen’s exemplary services to the nation and its cultural heritage was overseen by the Director of the Chancellery of the Head of the Russian Imperial House, Alexander Nikolaevich Zakatov, and by the Chairwoman of the Foundation for the Support and Development of Education, Art, and Culture, Elena Valerievna Bayakhchian.
At the beginning of the ceremony, and in accordance with tradition, the Rector of the Tchaikovsky State Music Conservatory, Alexander Sergeevich Sokolov, offered a word of greeting to all those in attendance.
