I send my warmest greetings to the organizers of and participants in commemorative events in Transnistria marking the 100th anniversary of the visit of the Imperial Family to the city of Bendery, during which the Royal Passion-Bearer Emperor Nicholas II and his wife and children visited the Bendery Fortress and the local military hospital, meeting and comforting the wounded, attending services in the Cathedral of St. Alexander Nevsky, and inspecting the troops about to be sent to the front.
I very sincerely hope that these celebrations have been a source of joy for all of you, and have served to strengthen your faith, patriotism, spirit of unity, respect for the past, and inspired hope for a better future.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your efforts to perpetuate the memory of my Imperial relatives and their loyal servants, who labored for the betterment of Russia. I wish all the people of Transnistria good health, courage, peace, and prosperity.
My son and heir, Grand Duke George of Russia, likewise sends his greetings and thanks to you all.
