Christ is Risen!

I send my heartfelt greetings to the organizers and participants of the Eighth International Forum “Intellectual Property in the 21st Century.”

In 2015, we celebrate a number of anniversaries, among the most important of which are the 70th anniversary of victory in the Second World War, and the 200th anniversary of the Congress of Vienna, which crowned our nation’s victory in the Patriotic War of 1812 and the Russian army’s foreign campaigns to liberate Europe. May we all celebrate these glorious dates in the solemn and fitting way they deserve.

Russia’s greatest strength and the key to its greatness has always been it patriotic spirit, intellect, and will of the people.

We must do everything we can to advance intellectual life and creative impulses in Russia, and to defend legally the fruits of that creativity.

I feel sure that this Forum will, as in prior years, serve actively to strengthen our national institutions and improve the state of civil society in our country.
