The Tsesarevich expresses his Condolences to the Royal House of Belgium on the Death of the Dowager Queen Fabiola, and attends the Funeral
On December 5, 2014, Queen Fabiola of Belgium (née Fabiola de Mora y Aragón) died at Stuyvenberg Castle at the age of 87. She was the queen consort of King Baudouin of Belgium (reigned 1951-1993) and the aunt of the presently reigning King Philippe of Belgium (who ascended the throne in 2013).
The funeral for Queen Fabiola took place on December 12, 2014, in the Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula in Brussels. Her Majesty was laid to rest in the royal crypt in the Church of Our Lady of Laeken in the Belgian capital, alongside her husband King Baudouin.
Queen Fabiola’s funeral was attended by the Heads and members of many royal families of Europe and Asia.
