Their Imperial Highnesses were present in the consortium “Mosgorarkhiv” [the Moscow City Archive Authority]
On 26 September 2002, Their Imperial Highnesses were present in the consortium “Mosgorarkhiv” [the Moscow City Archive Authority] at an exhibit entitled “The Romanoff Dynasty: The Moscow Pages.” Their Imperial Highnesses greatly admired the high level of professionalism in the exhibit and wished the archivists success in their labors to preserve and make popularly known the documentary legacy of the Russian State. After the opening ceremony for the exhibit, Archpriest V. Chaplin, the assistant chairman for the Division of Church Foreign Affairs, and A. S. Obolenskii, the Marshal of the Russian Nobility Association, were presented to Their Imperial Highnesses. On the same day, Their Imperial Highnesses met with A. V. Chuev, a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and a representative of the Russian Christian-Democratic Party, who acquainted Their Imperial Highnesses with the activities of the Party, which are aimed at a rebirth of Russian traditions and support for the Russian Orthodox Church and other traditional religious confessions in Russia. At the meeting was present also S. L. Kravets, the head of the religion-science center “Orthodox Encyclopedia.” During the second half of the day, Their Imperial Highnesses left for Smolensk. In Smolensk, Their Imperial Highnesses met with Iu. K. Synkin, the assistant to the Head of the Administration for the Smolensk District, with Vicar-Bishop Serafim of Baltiisk, with Hieromonk Ignatii, and with other representatives of the Administration of the Smolensk District.
