Greetings from the Head of the Russian Imperial House, Her Imperial Highness Grand Duchess Maria of Russia, to the guests, organizers, and sponsors of the Charity Benefit “L’Etincelle”

I send my heartfelt greetings to the guests, organizers, and sponsors of the Charity Benefit “L’Etincelle,” which will place in August 2013 in the Principality of Monaco and which is timed to coincide with the 400th anniversary of the ending of the Times of Troublesin Russia, the reestablishment of the Russian State, and the ascension to the throne of the House of Romanoff.

The formation of private and public initiatives to assist in the revival and strengthening of the traditions of spirituality, culture, and philanthropy is the best possible contribution to the perpetuation of the memory of the glorious events and heroes of past eras.

To all the participants in the Benefit “L’Etincelle”—artists, philanthropists, representatives of business and civic organizations—I wish a spirit of noble enthusiasm and God’s help in their efforts to help those in need and to support Russia’s great culture.
