By a patent signed by the Head of the Russian Imperial House, H.I.H. The Grand Duchess Maria of Russia, issued on September 14/27, 2024, the feast day of the Exaltation of the Holy and Life-Giving Cross of the Lord, Lubomir Rehak, the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovakia to the Russian Federation, was awarded the Imperial Order of St. Anna II Class, in recognition of his significant contributions to strengthening the historical ties between our two countries and peoples, and for his efforts to preserve both nation’s historical and cultural heritages. Ambassador Rehak is completing his term as his country’s official representative to Russia and will be returning to Slovakia shortly.

The presentation of the patent and insignia of the Order took place on November 14, 2024, in the Embassy of the Republic of Slovakia in Moscow. Attending the ceremony were the Ambassador’s wife, Dana Reháková; Archimandrite Seraphim (Shemiatovsky), the representative of the Orthodox Church in the Czech Republic and Slovakia to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia; the Director of Her Imperial Highness’s Chancellery, Dr. Alexander N. Zakatov; the King of Arms and head of the Office of Heraldry in H.I.H.’s Chancellery, S. V. Dumin; and the head of the Office of Historical and Memorial Activities in H.I.H.’s Chancellery, Hieromonk Nikon (Levachev-Belavenets).
