And you have modernized and advanced the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, which you have led for many years, harmoniously and seamlessly combining its significant historical legacy with innovation.

During your term as Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, you demonstrated a truly statesmanlike attitude toward the responsibilities entrusted to you, defending courageously the artistic legacy of Russia and its traditional spiritual and moral values, strengthening the legal and academic foundations of Russian cultural institutions, and encouraging the development of public and private initiatives to restore and preserve Russia’s historic architectural monuments.

I also note with enormous gratitude and appreciation your consistently friendly relations with the Imperial House of Russia, thanks to which, for many years, the Moscow State Conservatory has hosted an annual awards ceremony, under my patronage, for our countrymen and foreign friends of Russia who have distinguished themselves in various areas of academic, educational, cultural, charitable, and public service activities.

In recognition of these many contributions to the nation, I am pleased to award you the Imperial and Royal Order of St. Stanislav I Class.

I wish you good health, physical strength and perseverance, and God’s help in your service to Russia for many years to come.
