On 24 February 2023, H.I.H. The Tsesarevich and Grand Duke George of Russia, the son and heir of the Head of the Russian Imperial House, H.I.H. The Grand Duchess Maria of Russia, awarded his father, H.R.H. Prince Mikhail Pavlovich (Franz Wilhelm) of Prussia, who is in Russia visiting his son and his family, the Imperial commemorative medal “In Memory of the 100^th Anniversary of the Birth of Grand Duke Wladimir Kirillovich.”

Present at the ceremony was S. V. Dumin, the King of Arms and Head of the Office of Heraldry in the Chancellery of the Head of the Imperial House of Russia, and the Hieromonk Nikon (Levachev-Belavenets), the Head of the Office for Historical and Commemorative Activities of Her Imperial Highness’s Chancellery and steward of the Hermitage of St. Zosima and the Smolensk Icon of the Mother of God.

Hieromonk Nikon also heard Prince Mikhail Pavlovich’s confession and gave him Holy Communion.
