I thank you with all my heart for the warm reception given me within the boundaries of the eparchy of Tiraspol and Dubossary.

During my stay in the Transdniestr Republic in Moldova, I was so very glad to see for myself that, over the course of the 14 years of your spiritual feeding of the people of the Transdniestr, you have acquired such enormous authority, respect, and love from its citizens. The solemnity of the divine services led by you, the gift of the sermon, your patriotism, the lofty wisdom in your dealings with the state, your deep understanding in the areas of theology and history, have all deeply impressed me. All these qualities help you to serve with great fairness the flock entrusted to you, to stand dauntlessly for the unity of the Holy Orthodox Church, and to give new life to the traditions of our multinational people, who have for centuries shared the same spiritual and cultural values and historical fate. I believe that in you, our House has a genuine and true friend and intercessor in prayer.

I ask that you convey my thanks to the clergy and faithful of the Tiraspol and Dubossary eparchy, who showed me such kindness, care, and attention during my visit.
