Christ is Risen!

The Head of the Russian Imperial House, H.I.H. Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna has sent greetings to all Her countrymen on the Bright Feast of the Resurrection of Christ.

On Great and Holy Friday, Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna attended services at the Cathedral of Sts. Andrew and Demetrius in Madrid (a church of the Patriarchate of Constantinople), the parish hall for which was built by Her August Grandfather, the Head of the Georgian Royal Family, H.R.H. Prince Georgii Aleksandrovich Bagration-Mukhranskii.

For Easter Services, the Head of the Russian Imperial House, H.I.H. Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna, and H.I.H. the Heir, Tsesarevich, and Grand Duke Georgii Mikhailovich attended services at the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in Madrid (a parish of the Patriarchate of Moscow). The Heir and Tsesarevich carried the Icon of the Savior during the procession. After the Divine Liturgy, Their Imperial Highnesses partook of the Body and Blood of Christ.

H.I.H. Dowager Grand Duchess Leonida Georgievna was not able to attend services due to Her health, and instead prayed at home.
