Grand Duke Vyacheslav Konstantinovich (b. in Warsaw on 1/14 July 1862; d. in St. Petersburg on 14/28 February 1879), was the son of Grand Duke Konstantin Nikolaevich and Grand Duchess Alexandra Iosifovna (née Princess of Saxe-Altenburg). He was the Honorary Colonel of the Marine Guards and of the 21 Murom Infantry Regiment, which bore his name. He died in his youth, still in his teens, and was buried in the Ss. Peter and Paul Cathedral of the Ss. Peter and Paul Fortress in St. Petersburg. In 1909 his remains were transferred to the cathedral’s New Mausoleum.
