The Grand Duchess, Grand Duke, and Her Serene Highness wish all their countrymen and all friends of Russia around the world the joy of the Risen Lord, good health, peace, prosperity, and God’s help in all their endeavours.

INDEED HE IS RISEN!

Stikharion, Tone 6

Thy Resurrection, O Christ Saviour / the angels hymn in the heavens / vouchsafe also us on earth / with pure hearts / to glorify Thee.

Troparian, Tone 5

Christ is risen from the dead / trampling down death by death / and upon those in the tombs bestowing life.

Hypakoe, Tone 4

Before the dawn, Mary and the women came / and found the stone rolled away from the tomb. / They heard the angelic voice: / “Why do you seek among the dead / as a man the One Who is Everlasting Light? / Behold the clothes in the grave! / Go and proclaim to the world: / The Lord is risen!” // He has slain death, as He is the Son of God, saving the race of men.

Kontakion, Tone 8

Thou didst descend into the grave, O Immortal, / Thou hast destroyed the power of hades, in victory thou didst arise, O Christ God, / proclaiming, “Rejoice!” to the myrrh-bearing women, / and granting peace to thine apostles, // and bestowing resurrection on the fallen.

Zadostoinik, Tone 1

The Angel cried unto her that is full of grace / O Pure Virgin, rejoice! / and again I say rejoice! / for thy Son is risen / from the grave on the third day / and He hath raised all the dead // O ye people be joyful!

Shine, shine O new Jerusalem: / for the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee, / dance now and be glad, O Zion / do thou exult O Pure Theotokos // in the arising of Him Whom thou didst bear.
