The First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad, His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus of Eastern America and New York, sent a letter to the Director of the Chancellery of the Head of the Russian Imperial House, H.I.H. Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna, thanking Her Imperial Highness for bestowing upon him, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Aleksei II of Moscow and All Russia, the Imperial Order of St. Alexander Nevskii.
